Hello, I’m Krupa

I’m a trained research scientist. My PhD was in medical microbiology, focused on tuberculosis drug discovery, followed by postdoctoral work in cancer immunotherapy and antibody engineering, all at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Over 15 years in research, I published 23 peer-reviewed papers, contributed to 2 patents, and collaborated with researchers across Europe, North America, South America and Africa.

I've spent my career at the intersection of bench science and clinical application. I understand the complexity, the data, and the importance of getting the science right.

But I also realised that science only has impact when it's understood.

So I built The Erudite, a studio focused on medical and scientific communication, across written and visual formats. It brings together everything I enjoy: scientific rigour, storytelling and visual thinking.

Today, I work with medcomms agencies, healthcare professionals, researchers and organisations across healthcare and life sciences to turn complex science into clear, accurate and engaging content. My background is rooted in oncology, immunotherapy and infectious diseases, but my work extends to broader healthcare communication and public awareness initiatives.

Beyond client work, I write about planetary health and human rights, including contributions to Greenpeace Africa and The Conversation Africa.
